Mendaur

Starting situation

MENDAUR covered its nitrogen consumption through high-pressure N₂ racks, requiring almost daily truck deliveries. This system involved a significant environmental and operational impact.

Monthly consumption amounted to 15 racks of 270 m³ (5,062.5 kg of N₂), generating 10 trips per month and more than 14,880 kg of CO₂ annually from transport alone.

In addition to the environmental and economic impact, rack management affected operational efficiency, as it required constant connection and disconnection by personnel.

In response, the company decided to replace the system with a more efficient and sustainable solution aimed at reducing costs, minimizing energy impact and optimizing internal operations.

Solution proposed by GasN2

GasN2 installed at MENDAUR a high-purity nitrogen generation system (99.995%) with a capacity of 24 Nm³/h, replacing rack supply and achieving self-sufficiency in the laser cutting process.

The system includes:

  • Air compression and treatment in accordance with ISO 8573-1.
  • GasN2 GN27HP generator for high-demand applications.
  • Recompression up to 300 bar for high-pressure industrial use.

Results

  • Elimination of rack supply and road transport.

  • Total reduction of transport-related emissions.

  • Environmental impact equivalent to planting 805 trees.

  • Self-sufficiency and greater operational autonomy.

  • Continuous and more reliable supply.

  • Optimization of internal resources.

  • Improved industrial efficiency and competitiveness.
