Starting situation

TEKNICALDE operated 5 laser cutting machines with an estimated annual consumption of over 350,000 Nm³ of N₂. To meet this demand, they used liquid nitrogen supplied by tanker trucks. This process, carried out 15 times per month, involved transporting the gas by road in liquid form to the client’s facilities.

Solution proposed by GasN2

Implementation of two Nitrogen Generators, model GN108.

Results

  • Economic savings by eliminating inefficiencies of the traditional system.

  • Carbon emission reduction: more than 90% decrease in liquid nitrogen consumption, equivalent to over 16 tons of CO₂ per year associated with gas transport.

  • Production of 102.40 Nm³/h of nitrogen with a purity level of 99.999%.

  • Nitrogen is stored in two intermediate buffer tanks of 3,000 L and recompressed into 4 cylinder racks at 200 bar, with a capacity of up to 640 Nm³ of nitrogen.

  • Energy efficiency (on-site production).

  • Cleaner and more efficient production.

  • Process optimization, increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
