Participation in the MECCE congress, associated with Expoquimia, reinforces GasN2’s positioning within knowledge and innovation spaces in the chemical and process industry.
Astrid Tulleuda, Quality Manager at GasN2, will be part of the Scientific Committee of the Mediterranean Engineering Chemistry Congress (MECCE) 2026, the engineering congress held במסגרת Expoquimia that brings together researchers, technology centers, engineering firms and professionals from the chemical and process industry.
MECCE has established itself as one of the leading technical discussion platforms linked to Expoquimia, addressing some of the major challenges facing the industry, such as process energy efficiency, industrial heat decarbonization, operational safety and production digitalization. In this context, Astrid Tulleuda will participate in the review and selection of the papers submitted to the congress, contributing to ensuring the rigor and quality of the scientific program. This participation reinforces GasN2’s commitment to environments where technical knowledge is shared and collaboration between industry, engineering, research and universities is promoted—key elements for driving innovation and the evolution of the sector.
A conversation with Astrid Tulleuda
To better understand the value of this participation, we spoke with Astrid Tulleuda, Quality Manager at GasN2.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Scientific Committee of MECCE?
Participating in the Congress is an opportunity to contribute to sharing relevant technical knowledge for the sector. MECCE brings together highly diverse profiles in the field of engineering research and, being held alongside Expoquimia, enables very enriching conversations between academia and industry about the current challenges of the process industry.
What role do congresses like MECCE play in the evolution of the industry?
Scientific congresses are very important spaces because they facilitate the connection between scientific knowledge and real industrial application. Not all companies have R&D departments to explore new technologies, and congresses provide the state of the art in engineering. In this case, they also enable the creation of synergies with industry by sharing experiences, presenting new technologies and analyzing key topics such as process energy efficiency, sustainability and production optimization.
How does this participation align with GasN2’s vision?
At GasN2, industrial innovation is the foundation of our business model. Since the company’s inception, we have built our business lines on the development of proprietary technology, relying whenever necessary on collaboration between the company and knowledge centers. In fact, in this edition our R&D department is presenting six research papers at the congress in the field of decarbonization. Participating in spaces like MECCE allows us to contribute to this discussion, share experience from real industrial environments and continue moving towards delivering more innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions.
GasN2 at Expoquimia 2026
Participation in MECCE is also part of GasN2’s presence at Expoquimia 2026, where the company will exhibit with its own stand (E68). During the event, GasN2 will present several solutions aimed at improving industrial process efficiency and advancing the decarbonization of the chemical industry.
Among these solutions is the industrial heat pump for steam generation, a technology focused on the efficient electrification of the industrial sector. These systems make it possible to recover residual thermal energy from industrial processes and reuse it to generate useful heat, reducing emissions associated with industrial heat production. This technology can replace or complement fossil fuel-based systems, contributing to improving the overall energy efficiency of industrial facilities.
GasN2 will also present on-site nitrogen generators, a solution that enables nitrogen to be produced directly within industrial facilities and optimizes gas management across different process applications.
In addition to presenting these technologies, Expoquimia will also be an opportunity to share experience with industry professionals, engineering firms and technology centers, as well as to participate in the discussions that will shape the evolution of the chemical and process industry in the coming years.
