In its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, GasN2 has introduced an innovative CO₂ capture project aimed at decarbonizing the industry and reducing harmful gas emissions. This pioneering system allows for scalable CO₂ capture in modules of 1,000 and 10,000 tons per year, offering a flexible and efficient solution that marks a turning point in the responsible use of energy resources.

CO₂ capture: Towards a cleaner industry

The new capture process developed by GasN2 is based on an adsorption-desorption system that separates carbon dioxide from other gases with operating costs 50% lower than traditional technologies like amines. This efficient and cost-effective approach generates compressed CO₂ ready for reuse or storage, directly contributing to the circular economy. The versatility of the system allows its application in multiple industrial sectors, significantly improving emissions management and optimizing available energy resources.

Scalability and efficiency

GasN2’s technology offers a modular solution that can be adapted to meet any client’s needs, with the ability to scale according to the requirements of the industrial plant. From the energy sector to the food industry, the technology is flexible enough to fit different environments, maintaining low operating and maintenance costs while reducing environmental impact.

Commitment to a more sustainable future

This project not only aims to decarbonize the industry but also promotes the reuse of captured CO₂, closing the carbon cycle by using it in industrial processes such as the production of gases, fertilizers, or carbonated beverages. By promoting greater sustainability, GasN2 contributes to the European Union’s goals for 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050.

A step towards the future

With this initiative, GasN2 strengthens its role as a leader in the transition to a greener industry, offering innovative solutions that address today’s environmental challenges and demonstrating that technology and sustainability can go hand in hand.

GasN2 to Present Advances in Post-Combustion CO₂ Capture at GHGT-17 in Calgary, Canada

The company’s commitment to continuous research will be showcased at the 17th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT-17) in Calgary, Canada, where it will present its advancements in post-combustion CO₂ capture technology.

From October 20th to 24th, GasN2 will share its research on post-combustion CO₂ capture with a presentation titled “Comparative Study Between Two-Stage VSA Technology and Liquefaction in CO₂ Capture.”

The GasN2 R&D team, together with IQS Barcelona, is helping SMEs implement CO₂ capture solutions to reuse it in sectors such as wastewater treatment, beer production, and packaging.

GasN2’s Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) process has achieved 92% CO₂ purity in capture, and through cryogenic liquefaction, they continue to improve results, although there are challenges in recovery to achieve zero emissions.

This improvement reaffirms their commitment to sustainability and technological innovation in the fight against climate change.
