Using breeding methods that respect animal welfare, Galliance PEC ensures fair remuneration for farmers. Through La Nou velle Agriculture® and partnerships with organizations like CIWF, as well as its recent commitment to a shared animal welfare standard and labeling system, the company promotes progress from farm to consumer.

Its CSR focus (Corporate Social Responsibility) goes even further: ensuring fair payment for farmers, being a preferred employer, guaranteeing animal welfare, offering natural and healthy processed products, supporting local economies, and reducing environmental impact.

The Challenge

Initially, Galliance PEC relied on gas supply racks containing a specific gas mixture (20% O₂, 60% N₂, 20% CO₂), which was expensive and uncommon, leading to high logistical costs associated with maintaining 20+ racks on-site.

The use of this resource led to several challenges:

  • Frequent cylinder unloading and operational disruptions
  • High oxygen costs, making it a very expensive resource
  • Frequent cylinder replacements, causing prolonged production stoppages and reduced efficiency.

Galliance PEC’s objective was to bet on an innovative and sustainable technology to improve operating costs and reduce the environmental impact associated to the use of oxygen bottles with high pressure.

The Solution: Oxygen Generator

GasN2 installed an oxygen generator to fully meet the company’s gas needs across all production processes. The GO 3 model generator provides continuous real-time monitoring of gas quality, operating 24/7.

This feature ensures high safety standards, allowing for full traceability of the gas mixture quality and, consequently, the quality of the final product.

Results

The implementation of GasN2’s oxygen generation system at Galliance PEC  represents a significant advancement in operational efficiency and sustainability:

  • 75% cost savings, reducing the annual budget from €40,000 to just €10,000
  • Reduction of CO₂ emissions associated with gas transportation
  • Energy efficiency through on-site gas production
  • Cleaner and more efficient production processes
  • Lower logistics costs, eliminating the need for gas deliveries
  • Process optimization, increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs
  • Full control over gas quality, monitored remotely
  • Preservation of organoleptic properties, improving product perception and quality.

This solution has helped the company reduce costs, minimize its environmental impact, and optimize its packaging process, ensuring maximum product quality and freshness.

The elimination of gas cylinder transportation has significantly reduced the company’s carbon footprint, while the autonomy in gas production has improved internal logistics and reduced dependency on external suppliers.

This case study demonstrates how technological innovation can transform industrial processes, providing sustainable and cost-effective solutions that significantly enhance product quality.

Galliance PEC reaffirms its commitment to excellence, energy efficiency, and environmental impact reduction, strengthening its position as a benchmark in the food industry.
