At GasN2, we’re taking our commitment to the energy transition a step further: we’ve joined the Q-Cero Alliance as a provider of solutions for industrial decarbonization.

What is the Q-Cero Alliance?

The Q-Cero Alliance is a multi-stakeholder collaborative initiative promoted by the Center for Innovation in Technology for Human Development at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (itdUPM) and Tecnalia, and supported by Iberdrola Spain. Its objective is clear: to accelerate the decarbonization of thermal energy used in industrial processes and buildings, thus contributing to climate neutrality and economic sustainability.

The alliance brings together more than 100 organizations from different sectors and regions, creating a collaborative workspace for sharing knowledge, identifying common challenges, and advancing practical solutions to reduce emissions associated with the use of medium- and high-temperature heat.

Why is thermal decarbonization key?

More than 50% of the final energy consumed by industry corresponds to thermal demand, and a large portion of this energy still relies on fossil fuels. Therefore, addressing electrification and efficiency in these processes is an urgent priority to meet the objectives of the European Green Deal and Spain’s climate commitments.

The Q-Cero Alliance not only seeks technological solutions but also promotes coordination between public and private actors, drives regulatory changes, and facilitates the adoption of clean technologies that reduce costs, energy dependence, and emissions.

What does GasN2 bring to this collaboration?

At GasN2, we contribute solutions that are already helping many industries reduce their environmental impact in a measurable and scalable way:

  • On-site generators of industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, and mixtures), which eliminate carbon emissions and enable cleaner and more autonomous production.
  • Technologies for capturing, purifying, and reusing CO₂, which transform waste into a resource.
  • High-temperature industrial heat pumps and efficient cooling systems, to replace boilers and improve the thermal performance of processes.
  • Intelligent control and monitoring systems, which optimize energy use in real time.

Our vision is fully aligned with Q-Cero’s mission: to promote viable, sustainable solutions aligned with Spain’s green reindustrialization.

A step closer to a competitive and sustainable industry.

GasN2’s joining this alliance reinforces our role as an active player in the transformation of the industrial energy model. It’s not just about developing technology, but about networking, sharing knowledge, and building a solid foundation for a more resilient, low-carbon economy.

We are proud to be part of the Q-Cero Alliance and to join forces to accelerate the energy transition in one of the key sectors of the economy.
